3 Days:
Remove front and rear dew
claws, dock tails if required.
Worming
Within 2 weeks of whelping:
Worm mom with
Fenbendazole (Panacur,Safeguard)
Use 3 days in a row at 1 cc per 8# (Treats for all types of worms
and Giardia.
Note:
If you do this worming on mom, then start worming puppies at 4
weeks.
If mom is clean, puppies will be clean until weaning.
2 Weeks:
Start Deworming - worm every 2 weeks until delivery.
4 Weeks:
Fenbendazole for 3 days 1cc per 5# will clear Giardia.
6 Weeks:
Pyrantel, Fenbendazole-Either is fine.
Ivomec oral or topical if you have the Rabbit Fur Mite or Mange/Ear
Mites of any kind. If your kennel is clean, this will not be
needed.
8 Weeks:
3 days of worming for best effect on growth.
Coccidia
Cocciguard:
4 cups per 40# bag in all
puppy food fed.
Vaccinations
Give the
minimum 2 Parvo, 1 Distemper, and 1 Bordetella Vaccine.
Administer the
last
vaccine within 2 weeks before shipping.
4 Weeks or at Weaning:
Bordetella nasal vaccine, Parvo - only name brands
(Neopar,
Progard, CPV)
6 Weeks:
Parvo Booster with distemper.
8 Weeks (or before delivery):
Trim Nails, Clean Ears, and Bathe
Note:
If your puppy's nails are long and their ears are dirty, you can't
convince
anyone
that you are a reputable breeder. Your puppies' hygiene is a
direct reflection
on your
facility's cleanliness. We strive to keep a clean, healthy and
nail trimmed
